The Koenigsegg Gemera is unlike anything on the road today. A hybrid EV, it was revealed as a production version of the concept car first seen in 2020.
It's set to be manufactured at the auto maker's newly developed Gripen Atelier facility and will make its mark when released in 2025, likely beating out current records with its staggering specs of 2,300 horsepower and 2,000 lb-ft of torque. Going for a four-seater configuration instead of two gives drivers and passengers alike the opportunity to experience all that power.
The Gemera boasts an incredible amount of power, reaching up to 2,300 horsepower and 2,000 lb-ft of torque with its capable combination of electric motor and twin-turbo engine.
Its standard performance grants 1,340 horses powered by the "Dark Matter" electric motor and the "Tiny Friendly Giant" twin-turbo engine that together give off 1,400. For more power output, an even speedier option is available, where the Gemera's engine is merged with a Hot V8 twin-turbo for 1,500 horsepower and 1,106 lb-ft of torque.
The Koenigsegg Gemera is destined to become a new record-setter – easily beating the Lamborghini Revieno hybrid supercar. The Swedish automaker has yet to reveal the car's top speed or 0 to 60 mph acceleration, but details are expected as the debut date of 2024 approaches. Just 300 cars will be produced and with no pricing details out there, this limited edition could command an equally impressive figure.
