The Lanzador concept will arrive in 2028 with its raised ride height and dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain, the Lanzador produces over one megawatt (or over 1341 horsepower). The Lanzador's expressive two-door body style houses a four-seat interior layout that's futuristic and functional.

The 2028 Lamborghini Lanzador has us truly excited for the brand's electric future. The cabin is adorned with sustainable leather, genuine merino wool, regenerated carbon fiber and synthetic fiber created from recycled plastic. Although photos of the thin cushioning on the seats have us a bit worried about comfort, we can hardly wait for its production version--which will presumably retail around $300,000.

Lamborghini has yet to reveal any specifics on the driving range of its Lanzador EV, but it's clear from their commitment to such a high performance vehicle that it will be up there with other electric cars when it comes to range. To ensure optimal performance. active aerodynamic elements have been incorporated, as these will not only adjust downforce but also keep temperatures in check.

Our best guess of what Lamborghini's electric future will look like comes from today's audacious Lanzador concept, which premiered this week. The Lanzador isn't expected to arrive in production until 2028, but we can't wait, because it looks like a hybrid of the rally-inspired Huracán Sterrato and a brawny Urus SUV—resulting in one badass SUV.

The Lamborghini Lanzador concept is unlike any other EV on the market. Part of that is its unmistakable Lamborghini lineage, but even more so is its unusual proportions. The short greenhouse, sandwiched between a low roofline and an elevated ride height, is surrounded by bulging fenders and sharply creased sheetmetal. In other words, it's a crossover, but with a distinct Italian edge.

With bulging fenders and sharply wrinkled sheetmetal, its short greenhouse is squeezed between a low roofline and an elevated ride height, giving it the appearance of a crossover, but with an Italian twist.

In a company that has never been known for being subtle, Lamborghini provides the Lanzador with outrageous power. With an electric motor on each axle, the all-wheel-drive system is claimed to generate more than one megawatt. In contrast to a kilowatt, which is 1000 watts of electrical power, a megawatt is 1,000 watts, which translates into 1341 horsepower.

Among the other features incorporated, destined for production, is the highly customizable Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDIV) drive modes. By outfitting the car with a greater number of actuators and sensors, driving dynamics can be carefully monitored and adjusted, offering the driver more feedback. This will be further enhanced by a forthcoming radar-based system mounted on the front of the car. The Lanzador also has an air suspension and rear-axle steering system to make it even more agile in tight spots.

Like some of Lamborghini's most memorable creations, the Lanzador concept does not have scissor doors or gaping air intakes. The exotic nature of the coupe, however, can be seen in other ways besides its logo, which features a golden snorting bull. The Lanzador has an impossibly short rear overhang, massive 23-inch wheels, and a spacious glass roof. The two-door body style features a 2+2 seating arrangement as well.

As expected, the interior of the Lanzador is fanciful, with an elaborate dashboard layout that features digital displays for both front-seat passengers and driver. In addition to the flat-bottomed steering wheel, there are paddle shifters (for adjusting the regenerative braking system) and new-age controls. The center stack is also adorned with a wild-looking knob that controls a variety of functions, including the infotainment system and driving modes.
