Nine animated films will be released over the course of the next 18 months according to the streamer's schedule.

Nimona

SEPTEMBER 2023

We already knew that Nimona, an adaptation of ND Stevenson's graphic novel by the same name, was picked up by Netflix and Annapurna Pictures. Although Disney was attached previously, Netflix has now revealed their cast list. Lead roles will be played by Chloë Grace Moretz, Riz Ahmed, and Eugene Lee Yang while Frances Conroy, Lorraine Toussaint, Beck Bennett, RuPaul Charles, Indya Moore, Julio Torres and Sarah Sherman are also in the movie.

The Monkey King

SUMMER 2023

Boxtrolls director Anthony Stacchi takes the reigns of The Monkey King, a highly entertaining family comedy. This story follows a charismatic and selfish Monkey and his mystical Stick as they journey to conquer 100 demons, an extraordinary Dragon King and their greatest challenge - fighting their own egos.

FALL 2023

Adam Sandler stars in this latest Netflix offering as a 74-year-old lizard, who has been cooped up inside a terrarium for a few decades with his pal, turtle comrade Bill Burr. Jason Alexander and Rob Schneider, a frequent collaborator of Sandler's, round out the cast.

Netflix recently unveiled In Your Dreams, a comedic adventure from director Alex Woo. The film follows two siblings venturing into the realm of dreams, determined to find the sandman who can grant their wish.

Thelma the Unicorn

Thelma the Unicorn follows the story of a dazzling unicorn who finds fame as a worldwide pop star. The film is lead by two directors with distinct comedic backgrounds: Lynn Wang, from Unikitty!, and Jared Hess, renowned for Napoleon Dynamite.
